Birthday/Sympathy...combined

Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday and thanks to the holiday...I forgot to mail his card in a timely manner. Good thing my sister's are getting the present, so at least that won't be late. Anyway his card is going out today. I designed this myself using the Summer Vacation seasonal cartridge and Plantin Schoolbook (used the font). I so love using the Gypsy to customize. The card is just plain cardstock (which I "borrowed" from T) and I used red stickles to make the letters look appropriate for the sign (I believe it's Christmas Red).  Misc bling from the jewelry department was added to make the "lights".

I really love the way this card turned out. The background is a Hero Arts cling stamp, and maybe my favorite of these to date. The flower is from Kiasercraft, the bling is Hero Arts, Misc Ribbon and the kraft grid paper is actually from some K and Company packaging that I scrounged at a crop earlier this year (someone was just going to toss it, can you believe that???). The other paper is from the Kioshi collection from Basic Grey with some misc ribbon and lace from my stash. I love using the premade cards that you can pick up and this black one is from a large pack from Michaels.

First Gypsy Cuts!!

Ok, so I have "used" a Gypsy before, but this is mine! I got the G for my birthday and loaded my carts onto it. I have updated it myself (that means you can use it too LOL) and look, I have learned to weld! The two fonts are from Gypsy Font and Plantin Schoolbook. Made this for Pink Stamper's Challenge...wish me luck!

Hello Thursday came early???

So I was just bloggy hopping around and saw a post about the new pre-order carts at Custom Crops...can't believe these previews are up ahead of the official announcement, or did I not get mine? Sorry that I haven't posted anything this week. Got some more projects done for others and made my own Mother's Day card and mailed it to Mom. I'll share if she wants it posted, but I didn't want to chance a post getting pubbed early and ruining her surprize. I hope she liked it, she was out of town yesterday and as of right now so she hasn't seen it yet, but it should be sitting in her mailbox. (I've already told her Happy Mother's Day!)

Also wanted to share that I have confirmed Carpal Tunnel in both arms and am being treated right now with NSAIDS and orthopedic splints so bear with me. It's like learning to type all over again. Good news is, I can craft in splints!
