Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge ending March 1

I'm playing along with Paper Smooches Sparks this week!
And it's a Designer Drafts Challenge!

Here's the Draft (2ways!)

And here is my take on it.

I used the new Hooties Clear Stamps that Paper Smooches had in their last release.
I used all papers from Chickaniddy Crafts Date Night 6x6 paper pad and I broke out my Jenni Bowlin Inks for Stamping the images. The cloud was already on that little piece of paper. I intentionally offset everything because I liked the look of left heavy on the sketch. I inked every image up with Weathered Wood distress ink. I haven't done this kind of inking in a while AND I pulled out my corner chomper for the bottom edge of the card. I spent longer on this card than I usually do, but I needed to get creative this morning and it was so much FUN to use some NEW stamps with some products I have really been enjoying lately. I LOVE these little owls and I used a ton of foam adhesive to make multiple layers on my card. Thanks so much for looking!

Date Night and You and Me

Using awesomeness from Chickaniddy Crafts that was in my Scrapbook Circle kit (there's some Scrapbook Circle Exclusive stuff in this two pager as well. LOVE this month's kit. Had a girlfriend visiting me and we had a blast running around DC!

You can click for a larger view.

I used some Art Anthology Sorbet paint with a Heidi Swapp stencil for the tiny stars on my background papers. I also got a set of Le Pen  pens and used the teal one for my journalling. I think it worked out great. I'm entering these layouts in the #70 Challenge Tag You're It Scrapbook Circle Challenge. Have you entered? Also, Paper Smooches is having a sale TODAY only, I 've ordered some stamps off my wish list have you?

Want to Watch a Movie?

I am loving the icon sticker sheet from Chickaniddy in this month's Scrapbook Circle kit. I just had to throw together this little 5x5 square card... isn't it cute? And so easy. I used a copic marker to color the stickers from the kit gray because I thought the green blended in too much on the card. Sigh, so cute ;)

Big Apple Red

I only have some scraps of paper left from my All is Bright December kit from Scrapbook Circle, so I pulled out some Basic Grey Paper left in my Home Sweet Home November Kit and threw together this layout of my painted nails in my all time fav shade of RED from O P I.

I used some thickers from my stash in the font lax, they were white, with glitter and I was missing e's and a's so I pieced together the letters I needed from what I had, then painted over them with gold stickles. I think they turned out ok, but I did position the red a bit wonky. I'm ok with that.

Here is a shot of my pieced letters.
And, the finished layout:

I think it looks great. Happy Scrapping, I'm off to DC to take some touristy photos today!

ClearScraps Castle (2013 Ren Faire)

I'm getting ready to have some company for a few days and my focus has been on cleaning lately so I haven't finished as many crafty projects (note here that cleaning is always hard if it involves anything that might inspire me which is almost ALL it involves LOL). I wanted to share an album with you that I teased last year but never shared in full. It's ready for pics but as there are lots of people in them that may or may not want to be in a blog post here, I'll share sans pics.

I am using this ClearScraps Sandcastle Album. This album will hold pics of my trip to the MD Ren Faire 2013 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out. I used the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden collection of papers and the sticker sheet, Stampendous Glitter, Petaloo white leaves/fern fronds that I colored with mists and rock candy stickles, and random laces and bling from my stash.

I also filmed a video because I didn't think the pics did justice to this project...

This was still processing as I posted today so if it doesn't show up at first, try again later.

Thank you for being a friend...

Last month the Scrapbook Circle blog had a challenge for us to use song lyrics. I didn't enter that challenge because I couldn't think of anything to go with my photos... I could think of songs but not the "right" one. Well, I found one this month for a card... I do love the Golden Girls ;).

And with those lyrics, and some tiny bits and pieces from my All is Bright kit:

Six Flags was Always Fun

I have been out of my normal home for the last couple of weeks and it's been different. I was mostly knitting, but Saturday I had to come by home to pick up my SCRAPBOOK Circle Kit for February! I love LOVE these kits! This month was full of Chickaniddy goodies along with some October Afternoon. and other lovely things... check them out!

I made a quick video to show you all the lovely goodies (I did pick up the add ons this month and that Metallic Paper from Chickaniddy is a MUST HAVE!!!).

Here is the first layout I've completed with the kit. It has yellow cardstock from the kit, my photo which is terrible but taken from the years before we had those flip around screens or cell phones for selfies... and the labels and layering pieces were cut from paper in the Chickaniddy Date Night 6x6 Paper Pad and there are some stickers from the Date Night Sticker sheet as well. The photo is framed with that AWESOME gold metallic paper!!! The Flair, Boca paper and chipboard numbers are from October Afternoon Daily Flash collection. It's a special layout because it's of a happy time before I was married, with the man who was to be my husband. I've been scrapping mostly sad memories about him in 2013, but when I saw this photo I was moved to scrap something happy... which I take as a very good sign.

Another craft...

I got this really neat gift from a co-worker for Christmas 2013. It was this:
The Martha Stewart Crafts Knit and Weave Loom kit. I have JUST started to play with it and I love it! I've almost finished my first project which is a headband/earwarmer that I watched the tutorial on at YouTube, but it also referred me to this awesome blog which is Polka Dot Cottage.

Here is the tutorial:

Polka Dot Cottage is more than knitting so you might want to give her site a look even if you aren't into the knitting thing.  I should finish my earwarmer up this weekend and then I'll share it with you. Do you have crafty plans for this weekend?

Paper Smooches Feb 2-9 Anything Goes Challenge

I received the Spectrum Set of Stamps this week from Paper Smooches and had a fun little quick coloring session with them. I pulled out the little scraps of paper and stickers from my Scrapbook Circle scraps from the October kit So Happy Together (these were still available when I checked last and are SO LOVELY!!!) So I cut out my little unicorn and threw together this cute little card. It's also good for anytime.

OH... I got the Metropolis stamp set when I purchased the Spectrum set because I wanted this little moon and stars for my unicorn. There's other tiny stamps I want to use to make unicorns as well... so if you are a pony fan... I reccommend buying these two together ;).

So this is my entry into this week's challenge. I LOVE it!

Weather, problems and cuteness!

So we went from snow trying to melt on days higher than freezing, to a balmy wonderful day I almost missed completely because I was knitting and since I'm new to it, it totally absorbed my attention. Then fast forward to a Monday that is miserable and rainy and then back to COLD. But I digress. Paper Smooches had their new release on Saturday and due to the sneak peeks I ordered stamps before getting to work at 7am. I got my notice that my order was shipped before I left work at 6pm Saturday night and MY STAMPS came MONDAY!! How is that for awesomeness???

And here they are

And I had to start coloring that Unicorn right away...

So far I'm just playing with my coloring of them but they make me smile!!! The unicorn set is called Spectrum and it's brand new, the other set is Metropolis and it has been in my sites for a while, but I knew those tiny images on it would work for my unicorn rumps so I had to order them together. Alas I thought I was coming down with kidney stones but it turns out I have just somehow injured my back. I went to the doctor today and got some lovely advice (rest and stretch) which I was already doing, and a dose of ibuprofen that's supposed to be helpful for healing (not what I was taking, she said it wasn't enough). So I colored that little bit and then couldn't really sit up anymore. The knitting I do better in a reclining position so that has been my craft of choice this weekend. Here's hoping I get more pretty stuff done soon.

Smooches

It was kind of funny, yesterday I pulled out my supplies and sat at the table and... nothing. Then I checked out the Paper Smooches Challenge blog and got inspired to make this simple card with things lying on my table.
Only it didn't go with the challenge, so I wound up making yesterday's card. The pink chevron paper is from Love Notes by Crate Paper 6x6 paper pad, The Vellum "Washi" tape is by BasicGrey, the sentiment if from the Paper Smooches Chit Chat set of stamps and that wooden arrow was in my January kit from Scrapbook Circle. That green card came from Archiver's OR a friend gave it to me, I'm not 100% sure which now. That Candy Dot is also from Basic Grey.

Thanks so much for looking, I'm working today so I probably won't get much crafting done until Monday, but I wanted to let you know that Paper Smooches had the CUTEST unicorn set in their February Release (I just ordered my set and there is a big wishlist over there for me right now, but I'm getting the Spectrum set and one more set to go with and I'll be sharing those as they get here because I want to play with them!!!).
