Mother's Day Diamond Card

A diamond is my Mom's birthstone. It's also one of her favorite things. I used stickers and papers from the Date Night Collection from Chickaniddy Crafts to make my mom's Mother's Day card (and she LOVED it!).

I did go over the diamond sticker with some Distress Stickles in Rock Candy to get that shimmer.

From Mom

Still going over layouts from NSD and Yes, I have done at least ONE project post NSD, LOL! I made this no photo layout that talks about things I learned from my Mom, but not just things she told me but things I learned from observation. I used a pretty little stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and no photo... did all my journalling on a piece of purple vellum I've had in my stash for more years than I've actually been a scrapbooker. The background paper is from October Afternoon and there is also a lovely piece of Cosmo Cricket paper from the Creative Surfaces pad.
The stickers are from October Afternoon and Chickaniddy Crafts. The heart paper is from Crate Paper.

A Pocket Page about Bees and the White House

I've done several pages already about my friend Monica's visit from February like these and this one and I've had this one partially sorted into a pocket page protector (this one is from Echo Park, I ordered one of their Photo Freedom collections last year) but had never finished with the embellishing and journalling until NSD10K got me into gear! Here is the completed page... it covers our walk by the White House and our trip to an awesome bakery!

The papers here are just Kraft mixed with prints from Chickaniddy Crafts Date Night collection. I LOVE that paper from the 6x6 pad with the little dance footprints on it because we WALKED a LOT that day! I used the Wish You Were Here stamp set from Lawn Fawn to decorate one of my pockets... LOVE that stamp set!! Those kraft arrows are from Maya Road, The stickers and little epoxy hearts are from Chickaniddy Crafts, The slide frame is from Crate Paper, The Pier Colleciton, The flair is from October Afternoon.

DC Memorials

I'm still scrapping photos of when Monica came and stayed with me! I had some photos that I LOVE from the Korean and Vietnam war memorials and so I blew them up and cropped them to my fav parts of the pics then added minimal embellishing (for me anyway) and did lots of journalling (look at my crooked journalling, LOL).

The Stickers and letters are from Chickaniddy Crafts and the other pages I've done from Mon's visit include items from Chickaniddy Crafts and Elle's Studio (and a sticker from Pink Paislee) and the February  kit from Scrapbook Circle "Hello Today" (which is sold out.)
I'm working on putting together a pocket page from the rest of my phone photos from her trip to go alongside this layout in my album. I thought I had printed all the photos I needed, but I found I need to print a couple more so I think I'll have that page to show you on Saturday. What are you working on right now? I've been playing with a lot of stamp techniques, but I haven't really made anything, just playing with techniques on scrap paper.

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge ending March 1

I'm playing along with Paper Smooches Sparks this week!
And it's a Designer Drafts Challenge!

Here's the Draft (2ways!)

And here is my take on it.

I used the new Hooties Clear Stamps that Paper Smooches had in their last release.
I used all papers from Chickaniddy Crafts Date Night 6x6 paper pad and I broke out my Jenni Bowlin Inks for Stamping the images. The cloud was already on that little piece of paper. I intentionally offset everything because I liked the look of left heavy on the sketch. I inked every image up with Weathered Wood distress ink. I haven't done this kind of inking in a while AND I pulled out my corner chomper for the bottom edge of the card. I spent longer on this card than I usually do, but I needed to get creative this morning and it was so much FUN to use some NEW stamps with some products I have really been enjoying lately. I LOVE these little owls and I used a ton of foam adhesive to make multiple layers on my card. Thanks so much for looking!

Date Night and You and Me

Using awesomeness from Chickaniddy Crafts that was in my Scrapbook Circle kit (there's some Scrapbook Circle Exclusive stuff in this two pager as well. LOVE this month's kit. Had a girlfriend visiting me and we had a blast running around DC!

You can click for a larger view.

I used some Art Anthology Sorbet paint with a Heidi Swapp stencil for the tiny stars on my background papers. I also got a set of Le Pen  pens and used the teal one for my journalling. I think it worked out great. I'm entering these layouts in the #70 Challenge Tag You're It Scrapbook Circle Challenge. Have you entered? Also, Paper Smooches is having a sale TODAY only, I 've ordered some stamps off my wish list have you?

Want to Watch a Movie?

I am loving the icon sticker sheet from Chickaniddy in this month's Scrapbook Circle kit. I just had to throw together this little 5x5 square card... isn't it cute? And so easy. I used a copic marker to color the stickers from the kit gray because I thought the green blended in too much on the card. Sigh, so cute ;)

Six Flags was Always Fun

I have been out of my normal home for the last couple of weeks and it's been different. I was mostly knitting, but Saturday I had to come by home to pick up my SCRAPBOOK Circle Kit for February! I love LOVE these kits! This month was full of Chickaniddy goodies along with some October Afternoon. and other lovely things... check them out!

I made a quick video to show you all the lovely goodies (I did pick up the add ons this month and that Metallic Paper from Chickaniddy is a MUST HAVE!!!).

Here is the first layout I've completed with the kit. It has yellow cardstock from the kit, my photo which is terrible but taken from the years before we had those flip around screens or cell phones for selfies... and the labels and layering pieces were cut from paper in the Chickaniddy Date Night 6x6 Paper Pad and there are some stickers from the Date Night Sticker sheet as well. The photo is framed with that AWESOME gold metallic paper!!! The Flair, Boca paper and chipboard numbers are from October Afternoon Daily Flash collection. It's a special layout because it's of a happy time before I was married, with the man who was to be my husband. I've been scrapping mostly sad memories about him in 2013, but when I saw this photo I was moved to scrap something happy... which I take as a very good sign.
