I have had such a nice time sharing my Christmas cards with you. Thanks for the comments and emails (and fb messages)! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

Day 10!
Well, I just can't believe Christmas will be here next week. Here's a card for you :
I can't believe how confident I've gotten in my card making skills. Things that would have "scared" me this time last year are no longer around because, it's just paper. I wish I knew how to explain the significance of that statement. It's just paper. :)
I'm sure someone else out there knows what I mean. I can't believe I made it to this place where I can just play and play and if I don't like something later, it can go in the trash and it's ok.
So I finished a little Christmas Mini for my scrappy best pal Theresa and she loved it. What do you think?

The 9th day of Christmas cards... but not in a row:(
Wow! I always think there's plenty of time to get everything done close to Christmas, but I always run short of time. It just hit me yesterday that it'll be here next week! Wow! I finished up an xmas gift in time to be delivered yesterday and that's why I didn't post yesterday's cards. I'll do the project later today when I get the photos edited. I can't wait for you to see it.
On with the cards:
On with the cards:
I can also report that if you wish to save some time while you are making cards, go ahead and just work on the fronts. I cut all my background papers to fit over premade cards and decorated the way I wanted and then stuck them on the card for almost every card I made. There were a few I pieced directly on the front, but the ones that I made separately from the base seemed to go much quicker. If you haven't done this yet this year, be sure to give yourself a timeout. You deserve it! Watch your favorite movie, or go see a new one. I LOVED Burlesque! Here's hoping that my Zumba will get me in SUCH good shape this year LOL!
Hugs!

Day 8 2010 Christmas Cards, Trees away!
My photography skills for these cards is a little lax, but I wanted them finished and addressed so badly. They are just too cute if I do say so myself! For all of my rushing to get them done, I keep forgetting to acutall MAIL them LOL! It figures. I'm going to try sending them out today.

Seven Swans a Swimming, but not on my blog LOL!
Just so you know, this one is probably the least (traditional) Christmassy, but my favorite!
Ok, one week ago I started posting my cards, and I'm still going. How awesome is this??? I am so very happy you are all sharing with me! Hugs:

Day 6 of 2010 Cards
Happy Monday! It's really cold out there this morning. We had snow flurries yesterday but no accumulation but crossing my fingers for some more powder on Wednesday! At least there's really a feeling of Christmas outside weather-wise right now. It makes me go ick when it's 70 or so for the holidays. LOL! Hope you are all able to relax and not stress about the holiday. Here are today's cards:
That paper with those dots and dashes and scallops is my favorite! I need to go get a couple more pieces because it's so non theme specific.
That wavy corner piece was one of my favorite stickers. The tree was already on the "tag" that I cut from the tag sheet and that stamp is another one of T's stamps that was out of the packaging so I have no way to know who's it is.
Thanks for stopping by, more tomorrow!

Day 5....Cards away!
So I have a funny story. I finished my Christmas Cards at a crop on Friday and went ahead and gave some to the intended rather than putting them in the mail. One of them I was in such a hurry to get in the envelope so she wouldn't see which card I intended for her...such a hurry I forgot to write in it at ALL! LOL!!!
It was this card:
It was this card:
So love the Echo Park, I know I've said it every day, but the only thing I added that wasn't in the paper pack was a thin strip of Tim Holtz Tissue Tape (that was from the Halloween relase and some misc bling).
I told her she could just think of it as part of her gift and pass it along LOL! She had just told us all a story earlier about how one year her mom forgot to sign the Christmas card she sent to her!
This card makes me think of peppermint and happy times because of the lively fonts and the cute birdy. Stickles is the perfect addition to anything Christmassy!
Hugs!

Day 4, CARDS!!!
So now I think I'm all finished with my cards! I got them all addressed (except for the two addys I've requested and am waiting to get them back LOL) and ready to go! I made a total of 24 cards to mail out and all of the decorating was done with paper from Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas!
Sorry for the picture quality, I was snapping pics as I was stuffing envelopes at a crop last night... I just wanted them ready to go in the mail!
Hugs!

Card for day 3...
Everything on this card came out of the Echo Park paper pack. I love all the stickers that they give you on the sticker sheet. There were four complete different alphabets. Three minis and then one larger with many different letter fonts included. There were a lot of borders stickers as well. These papers were just so much fun to work with, I can't believe I haven't even gotten tired of looking at them!

Second Day of Christmas Cards!
Ok, so I told you I was in love with the Echo Park paper, right? I have been using each and every piece of paper and sticker out of the same paper pack. This card has only the card base and a smattering of Rock Candy Stickles that didn't come out of the original pack. I think it turned out awesome!
Did I mention I still had a sheet or two of paper that I hadn't cut. They are all double sided, and so far I haven't been able to make myself cut this lovely one with the "doily" in the middle. How are your own projects coming?
Hugs!

Christmas time is coming...
Okay, so I promised I'd start showing Christmas Cards, and even included a bonus for today! If you're following the 12 tags of Christmas with Tim Holtz, you'll recognize my flowers.
I love using premade card basis for my cards, this one happens to be from Martha Stewart. The paper is from Echo Park and of course since it's Christmas, STICKLES!
I used a variety of glimmermists in the pink/red family to color the stickyback canvas. The really shiny middle one is covered in Flirty colored Glimmer Glaze. The leaves are either glittered cardstock or stickyback canvas with a pattern transfer from an Echo Park paper line (I think it's called Everybody Loves Christmas.) This paper so inspired me from the first time I saw it.
Hope you enjoy!

Inchie, Twinchie, Trinchie
So I participated in a swap in October. It was in three parts, I swapped inchies (which you've probably heard of, twinchies (which are twice as big as inchies) and Trinchies (which are thrice as big).
I sure got some good stuff back.
First we'll look at the Trinchies:
The moon one, that was my contribution. I love how it turned out. Yep, he's a cricut cut!
This guy was so detailed, I gave him his own photo LOL!
And then one of the ladies did a double take on the inchies and there are eleven of these :)!

Here come the twinchies, there were only nine of these:
I made the pumpkin with the white flourish and the orange fibers. It looks really cute in person (but then again I'm biased).
And then one of the ladies did a double take on the inchies and there are eleven of these :)!
I really had a lot of fun making these, the star on the purple moon is the one I made.
I can't wait to start sharing my holiday cards with you tomorrow! Hugs!!

Cutest Scottie Mini !!!
So I sneaked a peek of the cover last week and here he is in all his splendid scottie glory! So cute!!! All the papers are from My Little Shoebox and I love LOVE LOVE the way it turned out. I tried not to bling it out too much so his owner would feel free to add pics and her own special touches! Had to deliver before posting pics as MEF is actually one of my regualr followers! Hope everyone is having a great week. The book came from Micheals and is by Mary Englebright. Love the Pink Paislee tapes, they are so much fun to work with. The flowers are by Maya Road and the ribbon and buttons are just misc from my stash. TFL!!!

Birthday/Sympathy...combined
Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday and thanks to the holiday...I forgot to mail his card in a timely manner. Good thing my sister's are getting the present, so at least that won't be late. Anyway his card is going out today. I designed this myself using the Summer Vacation seasonal cartridge and Plantin Schoolbook (used the font). I so love using the Gypsy to customize. The card is just plain cardstock (which I "borrowed" from T) and I used red stickles to make the letters look appropriate for the sign (I believe it's Christmas Red). Misc bling from the jewelry department was added to make the "lights".
I really love the way this card turned out. The background is a Hero Arts cling stamp, and maybe my favorite of these to date. The flower is from Kiasercraft, the bling is Hero Arts, Misc Ribbon and the kraft grid paper is actually from some K and Company packaging that I scrounged at a crop earlier this year (someone was just going to toss it, can you believe that???). The other paper is from the Kioshi collection from Basic Grey with some misc ribbon and lace from my stash. I love using the premade cards that you can pick up and this black one is from a large pack from Michaels.
TFL!!!

Sneak and the Girls...
So our home has been upgraded to it's first smartphone (not mine). And loads of phone photos have been taken of our girls. The cats are notoriously hard to photograph, but in a battle of the photographers, I spent some time one day getting the shot of Sayuri and Starbuck. (Kayla's easy, but it almost always is the same pose LOL)
Here's the sneaky peek I mentioned. The whole project will be posted very soon as it's finished and is going to be delivered soon.
HUGS! And have a safe and Happy Fourth of July!!!

Puppy Card
So here's another card using mostly the October Afternoon Thrift Store line. The black is just Micheal's brand cardstock and the heart i from the DCWV Pet's Stack. This little puppy shadow is from Sweethearts. Those butterflies are from a Martha Stewart Punch. (and they are covered with Rock Candy Stickles) Nothing holds these little butterflies on better than mini glue dots. I roll them up and pop them under the mini ones and just stick them under the large one. (I heart GLUEDOTS)
I know I know, it needs...SOMESTHING. If you know what that is then please let me know :). Maybe a sentiment...but right now this little card can be for whatever i need a card for. TFL!

Projects I got, photos I've Not LOL
Ok, so I have been working on lots of projects, but right now I am in gift and DT tryout mode and so I've not been posting bloggy photos as of yet. Fear not photos are on the way. I'll try to get at least a teaser shot up this afternoon. Would that be fun??? Do ya'll have big plans this weekend. It's my last holiday of the year to work (ok, last one scheduled at this point provided everyone who works there still works there or has been replaced by new people as more holidays come up LOL). T works as well and so she and I have decided to have a happy scrappy 4th since the shifts will only be 1 hour or so twice a day... we can eat good food, go swimming at her neighbors and even get our scrap on. I plan on taking Kayla with me to play with her girls so I don't have to worry about her being home alone with the cats (she misses me you know). We are about to celebrate having Starbuck for one whole year...I can't believe she's only been here a year (LOL). She's going bonkers for a toy that has a jingle bell on it right now (she loves LOUD toys) and if I don't "play" with her as often as she likes, she goes over and eats my scrapbook paper that is laying out. Don't worry, I know she does this for attention and
1. She is NOT eating enough of it to hurt herself...she is really just chewing the end a bit.
2. She only does this when she wants attention. If I'm not home, she doesn't touch the stuff over there.
Oh how I love her!

Scrappy bib necklace!
So let me apologize first for not slipping on a top that goes better with the necklace, but I couldn't WAIT to post something cute for you all. Last week was just terrible in that my car was broken down and then our home a/c quit and I just couldn't pull myself together to do anything in the heat.
Well that's over and things are looking back to normal. Sorry thie pic is a little blurry but I couldn't find my camera in a hurry ( I think it's over on the shelf, but I was in a hurry) LOL! Anyway I made this with my cricut, gypsy wanderings (shadow of the flower cut at 1.5, 2 and 3), some clear buttons, some white buttons and some orange and teal thread. (oh yes and some stickyback canvas, October afternoon paper and some chain from Michaels and Making Memories Jumprings, random eyelets and a cropadile big bite.)
The only sewing I did here was stitching on the buttons. I used the transfer technique and inspiration from Claudine Hellmuth herself, click here for her video!

FYI...what's been going on. (ranting is involved, sorry)
Lots of exciting (no all good) been happening lately but the long and short of it is:
C***ast turned off my internet on June 5 because someone was hijacking my cable...
but couldn't let me know that until someone physically came to my home and looked at my box, then I found out that even though I have called and requested to receive internet only (no cable) that I still have cable coming to my home.
I thought I would croak not being able to have internet in my home from Saturday until Tuesday.
The C***ast tech that came to fix our problem came and hour earlier than our appt time (not all bad, see!).
My "service engine soon" light came on Wednesday right before I got to work (as my car started shaking).
I put my car in the shop THAT MORNING at 8am...when the place opened and asked if I could pick it up at 10am (I have a 10-2 break in shifts at work), was told no problem (my car was ready to pick up at 5:30pm.
Went scrapping with Mary E and T on Saturday and... my car died. (It's still not fixed but we have it narrowed down to two expensive options).
I did get some creative stuff done but ya'll it is HOT and I just haven't been up to shooting pics to post. I will do that this week. I feel so guilty for last week, but I also feel like it's not over being last week yet.
On an even happier note I went to church with a new friend AC and had a GREAT time on Sunday. I even went to lunch with her, her dh and her fam. They treated me like I had been there forever practically and I loved it.
Thanks for dropping by and I'll make it scrappier next time. Hugs to ya'll and I hope your day was great.

Sympathy...looks good to me!
Ok, so this card was not made for work (if you remember from previous posts, I had done several sympathy cards for work...) but someone I worked for asked if I could make a sympathy card for them. I think it turned out really nice. The damask is a Heidi Swapp sticker (found a roll of them at Tuesday Morning for only two dollars! I bet there's a hundred of them on there.) The background of the sentiment is made with my Unity Stamps (as is the sentiment). TFL!
