Day 10!
Well, I just can't believe Christmas will be here next week. Here's a card for you :
I can't believe how confident I've gotten in my card making skills. Things that would have "scared" me this time last year are no longer around because, it's just paper. I wish I knew how to explain the significance of that statement. It's just paper. :)
I'm sure someone else out there knows what I mean. I can't believe I made it to this place where I can just play and play and if I don't like something later, it can go in the trash and it's ok.
So I finished a little Christmas Mini for my scrappy best pal Theresa and she loved it. What do you think?

The 9th day of Christmas cards... but not in a row:(
Wow! I always think there's plenty of time to get everything done close to Christmas, but I always run short of time. It just hit me yesterday that it'll be here next week! Wow! I finished up an xmas gift in time to be delivered yesterday and that's why I didn't post yesterday's cards. I'll do the project later today when I get the photos edited. I can't wait for you to see it.
On with the cards:
On with the cards:
I can also report that if you wish to save some time while you are making cards, go ahead and just work on the fronts. I cut all my background papers to fit over premade cards and decorated the way I wanted and then stuck them on the card for almost every card I made. There were a few I pieced directly on the front, but the ones that I made separately from the base seemed to go much quicker. If you haven't done this yet this year, be sure to give yourself a timeout. You deserve it! Watch your favorite movie, or go see a new one. I LOVED Burlesque! Here's hoping that my Zumba will get me in SUCH good shape this year LOL!
Hugs!

Day 8 2010 Christmas Cards, Trees away!
My photography skills for these cards is a little lax, but I wanted them finished and addressed so badly. They are just too cute if I do say so myself! For all of my rushing to get them done, I keep forgetting to acutall MAIL them LOL! It figures. I'm going to try sending them out today.

Seven Swans a Swimming, but not on my blog LOL!
Just so you know, this one is probably the least (traditional) Christmassy, but my favorite!
Ok, one week ago I started posting my cards, and I'm still going. How awesome is this??? I am so very happy you are all sharing with me! Hugs:

Day 6 of 2010 Cards
Happy Monday! It's really cold out there this morning. We had snow flurries yesterday but no accumulation but crossing my fingers for some more powder on Wednesday! At least there's really a feeling of Christmas outside weather-wise right now. It makes me go ick when it's 70 or so for the holidays. LOL! Hope you are all able to relax and not stress about the holiday. Here are today's cards:
That paper with those dots and dashes and scallops is my favorite! I need to go get a couple more pieces because it's so non theme specific.
That wavy corner piece was one of my favorite stickers. The tree was already on the "tag" that I cut from the tag sheet and that stamp is another one of T's stamps that was out of the packaging so I have no way to know who's it is.
Thanks for stopping by, more tomorrow!

Day 5....Cards away!
So I have a funny story. I finished my Christmas Cards at a crop on Friday and went ahead and gave some to the intended rather than putting them in the mail. One of them I was in such a hurry to get in the envelope so she wouldn't see which card I intended for her...such a hurry I forgot to write in it at ALL! LOL!!!
It was this card:
It was this card:
So love the Echo Park, I know I've said it every day, but the only thing I added that wasn't in the paper pack was a thin strip of Tim Holtz Tissue Tape (that was from the Halloween relase and some misc bling).
I told her she could just think of it as part of her gift and pass it along LOL! She had just told us all a story earlier about how one year her mom forgot to sign the Christmas card she sent to her!
This card makes me think of peppermint and happy times because of the lively fonts and the cute birdy. Stickles is the perfect addition to anything Christmassy!

Day 4, CARDS!!!
So now I think I'm all finished with my cards! I got them all addressed (except for the two addys I've requested and am waiting to get them back LOL) and ready to go! I made a total of 24 cards to mail out and all of the decorating was done with paper from Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas!
Sorry for the picture quality, I was snapping pics as I was stuffing envelopes at a crop last night... I just wanted them ready to go in the mail!

Card for day 3...
Everything on this card came out of the Echo Park paper pack. I love all the stickers that they give you on the sticker sheet. There were four complete different alphabets. Three minis and then one larger with many different letter fonts included. There were a lot of borders stickers as well. These papers were just so much fun to work with, I can't believe I haven't even gotten tired of looking at them!

Second Day of Christmas Cards!
Ok, so I told you I was in love with the Echo Park paper, right? I have been using each and every piece of paper and sticker out of the same paper pack. This card has only the card base and a smattering of Rock Candy Stickles that didn't come out of the original pack. I think it turned out awesome!
Did I mention I still had a sheet or two of paper that I hadn't cut. They are all double sided, and so far I haven't been able to make myself cut this lovely one with the "doily" in the middle. How are your own projects coming?
Hugs!

Christmas time is coming...
Okay, so I promised I'd start showing Christmas Cards, and even included a bonus for today! If you're following the 12 tags of Christmas with Tim Holtz, you'll recognize my flowers.
I love using premade card basis for my cards, this one happens to be from Martha Stewart. The paper is from Echo Park and of course since it's Christmas, STICKLES!
I used a variety of glimmermists in the pink/red family to color the stickyback canvas. The really shiny middle one is covered in Flirty colored Glimmer Glaze. The leaves are either glittered cardstock or stickyback canvas with a pattern transfer from an Echo Park paper line (I think it's called Everybody Loves Christmas.) This paper so inspired me from the first time I saw it.
Hope you enjoy!

Inchie, Twinchie, Trinchie
So I participated in a swap in October. It was in three parts, I swapped inchies (which you've probably heard of, twinchies (which are twice as big as inchies) and Trinchies (which are thrice as big).
I sure got some good stuff back.
First we'll look at the Trinchies:
The moon one, that was my contribution. I love how it turned out. Yep, he's a cricut cut!
This guy was so detailed, I gave him his own photo LOL!
And then one of the ladies did a double take on the inchies and there are eleven of these :)!

Here come the twinchies, there were only nine of these:
I made the pumpkin with the white flourish and the orange fibers. It looks really cute in person (but then again I'm biased).
And then one of the ladies did a double take on the inchies and there are eleven of these :)!
I really had a lot of fun making these, the star on the purple moon is the one I made.
I can't wait to start sharing my holiday cards with you tomorrow! Hugs!!
